Rain City and Michelle’s Love
Rain City Capital has already partnered with one amazing organization to support families with cancer, but as the Austen Everett Foundationwould be happy to tell you, you can never have too many allies in the struggle. Which is why we’re thrilled to announce our newest $100 Mission Partner: the Oregon-based nonprofit Michelle’s Love.
Michelle’s Love helps single parents undergoing cancer treatment by offering financial relief, house cleaning, and nutritious meals, allowing parents more time to heal and spend with their children.
In 2005, Michelle Singleton lost her fight against cancer, her four children lost their amazing mother, and Andy McCandless lost her best friend. Michelle’s death inspired Andy to help other amazing mothers just like Michelle.
With the help of family and friends, Andy put together a group that has helped over 80 families in Oregon, Washington, and Arizona. Not only will the volunteers from Michelle’s Love help clean a family’s home, pay bills, or prepare a meal, they provide the emotional support and a network of care single parents need as they undergo treatment. Rain City Capital is happy to know our first quarter 2018 donation of $18,600 is going to such a worthy cause.
