The $100 Mission and MORElove Project

Last week, we introduced Rain City’s $100 Mission for 2016: $100 per transaction will be donated to a deserving local charity. Our goal is to make a difference by giving back, and to inspire others to do the same.

For the first quarter, we are proud to announce our partnership with the MORELove Project – a project that takes to the streets of Seattle to aid and care for the homeless population.

Kristine Moreland founded the MORElove Project in 2015, after spending over 5 years seeking to end Seattle’s homeless problem. Together with Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission, MORElove coordinates weekly Search and Rescue nights to provide food and other necessities to the men and women without provision.

Each Search and Rescue trip also provides a bit more – MORElove makes a point to build relationships with these men and women. They learn about needs, listen to stories, and make every effort to convey to them that they are cared about. That they matter. Kristine’s passion and persistence alone has changed the lives of hundreds of homeless men, women, and children, and led them all a little further on their journey home.

In January, Rain City funded 64 transactions. That’s already $6,400 for the cause! To find out more about Kristine and the MORElove Project, click the links below:
